Drive product vision and are responsible for the success of a product from ideation to delivery. This includes: initial concept, scope, specification, prioritization, design, implementation, user acceptance testing, quality assurance, deployment and maintenance.
Understand AppsBuilder’s business and how each product contributes to our economic success.
Identify necessary metrics to measure the progress and effectiveness of projects.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize, and proactively communicate issues and decisions.
Manage customer renewals and retention within your list of accounts
Collaborate with our product marketing, sales, and customer experience teams to develop launch strategy, product packaging, and training.
Analyze product usage and engagement metrics to create a complete picture of what drives great support and distill that information into consumable reports for our Managment team.
Identify, measure and track leading indicators for trial conversions, plan upgrades and potential churn risks.
Help conduct various forms of user research to inform your designs, including usability testing, A/B testing, customer interviews, and surveys.
You:
Are passionate about identifying and solving problems for customers. You know how to uncover their needs through direct interaction as well as quantitation or qualitative research. Based on this understanding, you define compelling products that address those needs.
Understand modern web/SaaS technologies and systems. You can have credible conversations with engineers about technical design tradeoffs including platforms, frameworks, scalability and performance. You could have gained this understanding either in school or on the job.
Have a very low ego-to-talent ratio. You are great at what you do and confident in your ability to deliver. At the same time, you are self-critical and constantly look for ways to improve your own performance.
Have hands on experience writing code, professionally, in school, or just for fun. You are excited about new technologies and building cool software.
Can use a variety of levers to move a diverse group toward an objective. You have demonstrated that you can work across multiple teams including engineering, marketing, sales and services to ensure a world-class customer experience.
Are productive. You know how to identify the most important issues, prioritize your time and deliver results consistently.
Think and act like an owner. Product managers are responsible for the direction of the product from ideation through delivery. This means we sometimes take on projects that are not strictly in our job description but simply need to be done.
Have at least a Bachelor’s degree (required), Computer Science degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
Proficiency in languages necessary for data collection using SQL, NoSQL, Ruby or equivalent; be ready to demonstrate these skills in your interview
Ability to rapidly produce multiple UX/UI concepts and prototypes; balancing pixel-perfect attention to detail against opting for low-fi design to optimize workflow and process; Deep knowledge of modern UI patterns
Design leadership experience across the entire product lifecycle and multiple product launches
5+ yrs experience in UX roles at a consumer focused tech or media company
Submitting a strong portfolio in design that showcases deep visual and interaction design skills is a must; show us you know how to create a great experience.
